The beneficiaries of the “Care for the Elderly IV” project attended an interesting web talk.
Specifically, on Tuesday 17 December 2024 at the offices of the organization and in cooperation with the organization Mission ANTHROPOS, the fifty beneficiaries of the program had the unique opportunity to attend an informative speech on the topic “Brave Heart”. Cardiologist Konstantina Vogiatzi, a volunteer of the organization, explained in simple words to the participants about the benefits of a healthy diet, the difference between normal heartbeats , tachycardia and arrhythmia and when to worry and go to the doctor immediately. Finally he explained ways to prevent coronary heart disease. After the presentation Mrs. Voyatzi received a lot of questions from the audience.
Then the beneficiaries received a voucher of 60 euros in order to buy essentials.
The programme “Care for the Third Age IV” concerns the monthly provision of vouchers for the purchase of food and basic necessities to elderly people over sixty years of age and the organisation of talks within the framework of the distribution on topics related to the elderly. It is financed entirely by the TIMA Public Benefit Foundation.
