On Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 9.30 in the morning in the atrium of the Open Hospitality House forty-five students from the 4th High School in Drama will attend the experiential educational workshop of the program “TIME TO TALK” of the Ladies’ Union of Drama-H.O.H.
The aim of the educational workshops, which continue on a voluntary basis, is to inform and raise awareness among the student population about forms of violence and their recognition. The experiential workshops will be conducted by the Dean of the Democritus University of Thrace, Mrs. Sevasti Hatzifotiou. The “TIME TO TALK” programme has in the last three years informed thirteen thousand students from all over the prefecture. The “TIME TO TALK” project was implemented by the Active Citizens Fund, with the L.U.D. – H.O.H. as the implementing agency and the Bodossaki Foundation and Solidarity Now as grant managers. The project was funded by Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein as part of the European Economic Area (EEA) funding mechanism. It lasted 14 months from December 2021 to February 2023 and continues on a voluntary basis until today, succeeding in promoting equality, preventing and addressing the phenomenon of gender-based violence and its root causes through specialized counseling for the perpetrator and more effective support for victims.
