Βilateral Relations
In the framework of the Bilateral Relations initiative of the NGO grant program of the EEA Grants in Greece “We are all Citizens”, the Ladies Union of Drama – House of Open Hospitality carried out an educational trip to Stavanger, Norway in November 2016. In February 2017, another educational trip to Iceland took place. The aim of the project is the exchange and transfer of knowledge and technical expertise, the exchange of experiences and best practices between non-governmental organizations based in Greece and organizations based in the donor countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).
The “We are all Citizens” program is part of the overall EEA Financial Mechanism for Greece and aims to strengthening civil society in our country and enhancing social justice, democracy and sustainable development. The Grant Manager of the Program is the Bodossaki Foundation.
JUNE 2017: Two members of the Ladies Union of Drama-House of Open Hospitality travelled to Navarre, Spain and participated in a week-long training. The training was attended by the Ladies Union of Drama, PRAKSIS and ARSIS from Greece, partners from Poland, Belgium, Romania and Albania. The aim of the training was to get to know and inform about the European organizations, to look for solutions to the problems faced by those working with ”Mobile School” , to create new educational material and new panels and to highlight the impact of mobile school on the society.
NOVEMBER 2018: A member of the Ladies Union of Drama travelled to Budapest to participate in the annual seminar of the European Counsil on the topic of youth homelessness. The seminar was attended by 36 civil society professionals. The topic of study was human rights and their application to youth homelessness. The participants talked to human rights advocates and visited the Homeless Day and Shelter Centers in Budapest.
NOVEMBER 2018: As part of the Erasmus + program, a member of the organization attended the first transnational meeting in Belgium, at the offices of Mobile School organization. A representative from the Ladies Union of Drama-House of Open Hospitality, from the Mobile School organization, and the Romanian organization Salvati Copiii Iasi worked on the creation of an online platform aimed at using educational material for non-formal and formal education. The platform will be free for everyone.
AUGUST 2019: In the framework of the Erasmus+ programme, the second transnational meeting was held in Belgium, by the organisations Union of Ladies of Drama-House of Open Hospitality, Mobile School & Salvati Copiii Iasi, aiming at the development and progress of the Street Smart Play online platform.
SEPTEMBER 2019: In the framework of the Erasmus+ program, the third transnational meeting was held in Drama, by the representatives of the Ladies Union of Drama – House of Open Hospitality, Mobile School & Salvati Copiii Iasi. The purpose of the meeting was the final stage of the Street Smart Play platform.
