On the evening of Friday, 10 July 2026, Ladies Union of Drama - HOH had the pleasure of welcoming students participating in the 14th Summer Programme in Greek Language, Translation and Culture of the University of Granada.
The Summer Programme, under the academic supervision of Professor Morfakidis, Professor of Greek Philology at the University of Granada, welcomes participants from various countries each year. As part of its educational activities, the group visited Ladies Union of Drama - HOH to learn about the European co-funded project “TIME TO TALK II” and the organisation’s initiatives for the prevention and response to gender-based violence.
During the visit, the Vice President of Ladies Union of Drama - HOH and the project's scientific team presented the objectives, activities and progress of “TIME TO TALK II”, highlighting the significant results achieved through awareness-raising, prevention and support initiatives implemented to date.
Particular emphasis was placed on the growing prevalence of gender-based violence across Europe, underlining the need to strengthen international cooperation, exchange good practices and develop joint initiatives aimed at prevention, protection and victim support.
Following the presentation, a reception was held in the organisation’s courtyard, where the guests enjoyed traditional Greek delicacies accompanied by live traditional Greek music, offering them the opportunity to experience Greek hospitality and culture in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The project “Development of Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Combating Actions – TIME TO TALK II” is implemented within the framework of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace 2021–2027 Programme, under the priority “Social Inclusion and Combating Poverty (ESF+)”. The project is co-funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and forms part of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama.
