The new season of the “TIME TO TALK II” project began with two training seminars.
Sevasti Hatzifotiou, Dean at Democritus University of Thrace and scientific lead of the project, together with the “TIME TO TALK II” project team, held two seminars for employees of FHL – Kyriakidis Group at one of the Group’s facilities. The seminars focused on raising awareness of gender-based violence.
Fifty-eight employees from a range of roles attended the sessions. The presentations covered the forms of gender-based violence, how to recognise abuse in relationships across different social settings, the legal protections available to victims and witnesses, and the steps that individuals can take in response to incidents of violence. Through “TIME TO TALK II”, the project aims to keep this information accessible and visible to everyone, helping people recognise incidents early and seek appropriate support.
This initiative is part of the project’s wider efforts to share information and raise public awareness, with the aim of improving access to information and encouraging the local community to take action against gender-based violence. By working with employers and holding sessions in workplaces, the project seeks to strengthen a community that is informed, supportive and willing to act.
The project “DEVELOPMENT OF ACTIONS TO PREVENT AND COMBAT GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE – TIME TO TALK II” is implemented under the “Eastern Macedonia and Thrace 2021–2027” Programme, within the priority “Social Inclusion and Tackling Poverty (ESF+)”. It is co-funded by the European Social Fund and forms part of the Municipality of Drama’s Sustainable Urban Development Strategy.
