The Ladies' Union of Drama - HOH held the 6th educational workshop of the "POWERFUL VOICE" program.
On Monday, November 8, 2025, the Ladies Union of Drama - HOH held the 6th educational workshop of the "POWERFUL VOICE" program at a school in the Municipality of Doxato. The workshop took place in the Gymnasium of the Doxato High School and was aimed at 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year high school students and teachers. The topics covered in the educational workshop concerned human rights based on the Charter of Children's Rights, established by the UN, and the 17 sustainable development goals, with a focus on gender equality and education. The students actively participated in the presentation, placing particular emphasis on the violation of rights through abuse in any form, whether verbal, physical, or psychological.
The 14-month “POWERFUL VOICE” program, which is funded by Action Aid and the European Union, aims to inform, educate, and raise awareness among men and women (aged 13-60) living in remote areas in the municipalities of the Prefecture of Drama (Prosotsani, Paranesti, Nevrokopi, Doxato) on issues relating to the values of the European Union, gender equality, and the recognition of forms of gender-based violence.
The ” POWERFUL VOICE ” project is implemented within the framework of the “POWER – Promoting Organizations’ empoWErment to guarantee women’s human rights and stop gender-based violence” program, which is coordinated by WeWorld (WW), in collaboration with Action Aid 12 Hellas (AAH) and the Asociación Bienestar y Desarrollo (ABD). POWER is co-funded by the European Union through the “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values” program (CERV – 2023 – DAPHNE).
