The open-air theatre of Agia Varvara was filled with music and melodies from every corner of Greece during the wonderful concert “A Journey Through Greece No. 10”, presented on Friday, 26 June by the Traditional Choir of Ladies Union of Drama - HOH.
The concert was held as part of the Eleftheria 2026 celebrations and attracted a large audience, who enjoyed a rich programme of traditional and folk songs from across Greece. Many members of the audience joined in by singing along and clapping to the rhythm, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
At the end of the concert, Archimandrite Fr. Evgenios Tsaramanidis, who originates from Drama and serves in the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America in New York, was honoured for his longstanding and discreet contribution to Ladies Union of Drama - HOH and to his hometown of Drama. His continuous support and dedication have been deeply appreciated by the organisation and the local community.
The President of Ladies Union of Drama - HOH, Mrs Aliki Tsiamoura, thanked everyone for their continued support of the organisation’s cultural events. She wished the audience a pleasant and relaxing summer and renewed the organisation’s cultural appointment with the public for September and October through the initiative “Neighbourhoods Sing”.
