The Ladies' Union of Drama – Open Hospitality House launches photography workshop
"Capturing Reality" in the municipalities of Doxato and Paranesti, which is being implemented with the financial support and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
Specifically, on Friday, September 29, 2025, at 10 a.m., he will be at the Doxato Senior Citizens' Center, and in the afternoon of the same day, he will be at the multipurpose hall in Adrian.
The program is aimed at men and women aged 18-60, and its main objective is to educate and empower people living in remote areas through the art of photography. Participants will have the opportunity to use cameras provided by the Association to gain practical experience and explore the local reality through their own creative lens. During the program, there will be theoretical and practical photography workshops, photography missions, walks, collaborations with artists and local organizations, as well as creative image processing. The program is led by art historian Vicky Konstantinidou, while the workshops will be conducted by professional photographer Myrsini Tzima.
The initiative will last for a total of five months and will conclude in December 2025 with a final Photography Exhibition at the prefecture level, where the participants' works will be presented. The exhibition will be the fruit of collective effort and artistic expression, while highlighting the importance of photography as a tool for social cohesion and cultural creation.
"Capturing Reality" aims to highlight the voices of people living in remote areas, boost their involvement in culture, and give them a chance to capture and share their own view of the world around them. The program is implemented with the financial support and under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
