On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, food and basic necessities vouchers were distributed to forty-seven (47) beneficiaries of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – H.O.H.

The beneficiaries gathered early in the morning in the organization's multipurpose hall, in order to watch with great interest an informative speech on the topic: "Telephone scams at every age". The briefing was carried out by the assistant director of the Drama Police Department Dragoudakis Anastasios and the head of the Drama Security Department Dimitriou Tassos. The officers referred to the increase in telephone fraud incidents in our country, referring to organized rings based outside Greece with the aim of extorting money. They then gave useful advice to the beneficiaries, who cited their own similar experiences. This was followed by questions from the beneficiaries to which the officers gave clear answers as well as instructions.

The program of distribution of vouchers to lonely elderly people over sixty years of age is financed by the Antonios and Ioannis Angelikousis Foundation. The program for distributing stationery to single-parent and large-child families is financed by an anonymous donor from abroad.

The objectives of the programs are to inform the beneficiaries on matters of healthy nutrition, safety and health, but also to strengthen them psychologically, to socialize them and to improve their quality of life by purchasing basic goods.
