21 and 22 September in Drama CHALLEDU and LUD-HOH Join Forces for Educational Workshops
CHALLEDU and LUD-HOH are joining forces for the first time for two days of activities, education and collaboration within the framework of ActionAid’s POWER Programme.
On 21 and 22 September 2026, four educational workshops focusing on gender-based violence among older adults will take place at the premises of LUD-HOH, bringing together different groups from the local community. The workshops aim to encourage active participation, the development of new knowledge and skills, empowerment and the exchange of experiences.
The two organisations respectively implement the projects “CAREaies – Raising Our Antennas to Combat Gender-Based Violence” and “POWERFUL VOICE.” The CAREaies project focuses on raising awareness and providing information about gender-based violence against women and feminine-identifying persons over the age of 60, while POWERFUL VOICE aims to inform and raise awareness among people living in the remote border areas of the Regional Unit of Drama on issues related to human rights and gender equality.
The two-day meeting, however, goes beyond the implementation of the educational workshops. It also marks the beginning of a stronger collaboration between the two organisations and provides an opportunity to explore new joint initiatives.
Through this meeting, the foundations are being laid for a network of collaboration, learning and mutual empowerment, where organisations and communities can exchange experiences and good practices, develop new ideas and work together to create solutions, contributing to the development of communities that care, empower and protect.
