Eighty-four students of Primary and Secondary Education were informed last week about the activities of the Food Bank of Drama and the purposes it stands for.
Specifically, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the team of the Food Bank of Drama of the Ladies' Union was at Prosotsani Secondary School, informing 64 students about the daily tasks that are carried out. After watching the presentation, the students then played an interactive quiz applying what they learned from the visit to the school. At the same time, they asked questions and were interested in the work of the Ladies' Union of Drama - H.O.H., assuring that they will support the actions as a whole.
On Friday 14 March 2025, the Food Bank of Drama welcomed 24 students from the 7th Primary School. In this activity, after watching a short presentation and playing the knowledge quiz, the children visited the premises of the Food Bank of Drama and made parcels with long-life food and personal hygiene products. Through the distribution of these parcels, awareness and knowledge about food waste and the needs of vulnerable people was raised, while all the children unanimously acknowledged the importance of the work of the Food Bank of Drama.
At the end of the action, the students sent a souvenir relevant to the subject they attended as a deliverable from the students to our organization. The purpose of this action is the experiential approach to the objectives of the Food Bank of Drama regarding the fight against hunger and food waste.
