On Sunday 9 March at 11:00 a.m., the Food Bank of the Ladies’ Union of Drama H.O.H. will participate in the LADIES WALK action to celebrate the International Women’s Day.
During the action, a women’s walk will take place in the suburban forest of Korylovos. At the start, there will be a “Box of Love” of the Food Bank of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – H.O.H. for anyone who wishes to assist in its efforts. The proceeds will be used exclusively for the purchase of food for vulnerable citizens.
This action is implemented by the Association of Health Runners with co-organizers the Regional Unit of Drama, the Municipality of Drama, the Europe Direct of AMTH, the Union of Ladies of Drama – H.O.H. and the Association of Students of Oenology – Forestry of DUTH.
The Food Bank of Drama
The Food Bank of Drama is the 4th nationwide Food Bank, which was founded by the Ladies’ Union of Drama – Open Hospitality House, in October 2019. It is a member of the European Federation of Food Banks (FEBA) and its primary purpose is to fight hunger and food waste, covering the food needs of 2016 beneficiaries on a daily and monthly basis.
