Οn Friday, February 21, 2025, the Food Bank of Drama welcomed the students of the Aradikou Kindergarten in the framework of the action “Students get to know the Food Bank of Drama”. “My soul is full” a young child expressed immediately after attending the workshop.
In this action, the children watched a short presentation and played an interactive quiz, visited the facilities of the Food Bank of Drama and made and distributed packages with long-lasting food and personal hygiene products to beneficiaries of the organization. Through the distribution of the packages, awareness and knowledge was raised regarding food waste and the needs of our fellow human beings, while all the children unanimously acknowledged the importance of the work of the Food Bank of Drama.
The action “Students know the Food Bank of Drama” is implemented by the Ladies’ Union of Drama – H.O.H. and is carried out in cooperation with the Primary Education of Drama. At the end of the action, a souvenir relevant to the subject attended is sent as a deliverable from the students to our organization. The purpose of this action is the experiential approach to the objectives of the Food Bank of Drama concerning the fight against hunger and food waste.
