22 students and teachers were educated on human rights through the program “POWERFUL VOICE”

The “POWERFUL VOICE” program implemented by the Ladies Union of Drama -HOH held its 5th educational workshop on Monday, November 24, at the Paranesti High School. The main target group was the students who attended the workshop on children's rights, how they can claim them, and the responsibilities that accompany them. The audience showed particular interest in the case of child abuse, what the procedure of removing them from an abusive environment and what are the appropriate living conditions for a child who is in the care of the state.
The 14-month "POWERFUL VOICE" program, which is funded by Action Aid and the European Union, aims to inform, educate, and raise awareness among men and women (aged 13-60) living in remote areas in the municipalities of the Prefecture of Drama (Prosotsani, Paranesti, Neurkopi, Doxato) on issues relating to the values of the European Union, gender equality, and the recognition of forms of gender-based violence.
The ” POWERFUL VOICE ” project is implemented within the framework of the “POWER – Promoting Organizations’ empoWErment to guarantee women’s human rights and stop gender-based violence” program, which is coordinated by WeWorld (WW), in collaboration with Action Aid 12 Hellas (AAH) and the Asociación Bienestar y Desarrollo (ABD). POWER is co-funded by the European Union through the “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values” program (CERV – 2023 – DAPHNE).
