The event celebrating the feast day of Saints Aquila and Priscilla, organized by the Ladies' Union of Drama – HOH, was held with great success at a central hotel in the city on Sunday, February 15.
The event was hosted in a packed hall, in a romantic and particularly warm atmosphere. Attendees had the opportunity to enjoy live music, exquisite flavors, and lavish gifts, which contributed to a pleasant and festive evening. A large number of guests honored the event with their presence, highlighting the important work of the LUD-HOH and its ongoing contribution to both the social and cultural life of the area through a variety of high-level activities, initiatives, and events. This year's event once again confirmed the active role and dynamic presence of the Ladies' Union in the local community, highlighting the importance of actions that strengthen social cohesion and foster meaningful communication between people.

The Holy Apostles Aquila and Priscilla were a Jewish couple from Pontus. They lived in Corinth and worked as tentmakers. They were virtuous and devout people. When the Apostle Paul visited Corinth to teach the Orthodox faith, the couple offered him warm hospitality, as they were impressed by his preaching. They were so moved by the apostle's fiery and saving words that, after being catechized and baptized by him, they decided to follow him on his travels as his assistants. The apostle was so impressed by their virtues and Christian actions that he mentions them in his letters, writing that not only he, but all the churches of the nations are grateful for their services and courage.
