Forty-three children from the Xeropotamos Elementary School will participate in the event: "Children decorate the tree of the Drama Food Bank (FB)."
On Wednesday, November 19, at 9:30 a.m., children from the 2nd and 6th grades will come to the House of Open Hospitality of the Ladies' Union of Drama to participate in the action "Children decorate the FB Drama tree" with symbolic food decorations. The aim is to spread the message "This year we are donating food to FB Drama." Prior to that, they will attend the educational workshop "Children get to know the Food Bank of Drama." In this workshop, they learn about the fight against hunger and waste through an interactive knowledge quiz, and then they make parcels and distribute them to beneficiaries.
The Drama Food Bank
The Drama Food Bank is the fourth food bank in Greece, founded by the Ladies' Union of Drama – House of Open Hospitality in October 2019. It is a member of the European Federation of Food Banks (FEBA) and its primary goal is to combat hunger and food waste by meeting the nutritional needs of hundreds of beneficiaries on a daily and monthly basis.
