On Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 11 a.m., the new program "Digital Education for Seniors" will take place at the organization’s offices.
Digital illiteracy, non-senior-friendly platforms, and societal stereotypes about the elderly prevent people aged 65 and older from using digital tools that would make their daily lives easier and improve their quality of life. These factors make modern daily life difficult when there is a lack of technological familiarity and comfort with the use of electronic devices and digital media. Through this program, the Ladies' Union of Drama-ΗΟΗ will provide equal opportunities to people who lack access to technology, enabling them to develop the digital skills necessary for their daily lives. Activities such as basic computer operation, searching for information, communicating via social media, and exchanging messages and digital content will be among the key objectives of the weekly workshops. In a society dominated by digital materials and media, the twenty beneficiaries of the Organization will acquire knowledge, abilities, and skills which, combined with the guidance of experienced teaching staff, will instill self-confidence, and readiness for the effective use of New Technologies, which is now an important privilege for everyone.
The "Digital Education for Seniors" program is made possible with the generous support of the non-profit organization "Meaalofa Foundation," which supports projects worldwide in the areas of education, migration, and environmental protection.
