The fifth distribution of cheque vouchers to fifty beneficiaries of the programme “Care for the Third Age IV” took place.
Specifically, on Monday, 16 September, the beneficiaries came to the offices of the institution. The distribution was accompanied by a speech by the Deputy Mayor of Cleaning and Recycling of the Municipality of Drama, Mr. Efraimidis Ioannis and the Deputy Supervisor of Cleaning, Ms. Gaitanidou Sophia, titled “The importance of recycling”. During the speech they urged the audience to recycle.
In particular, they explained how to separate materials in the recycling bins and stressed that recycling significantly reduces the cost of municipal fees. Furthermore, they emphasised the importance of recycling clothes and the economic benefit of doing so. At the end of the speech they distributed fabric recycling bags to everyone.
The “Care for the Third Age IV” project involves the monthly provision of vouchers for the purchase of food and essentials to elderly people over sixty years of age and the organization of talks within the framework of the distribution on topics related to the elderly. It is financed entirely by the TIMA Public Benefit Foundation.
