Distribution of FEAD parcels to 32 beneficiaries
The first distribution of FEAD products by the Ladies’ Union of Drama – House of Open Hospitality was successfully completed.
Specifically, thirty-two beneficiaries received on Tuesday 29 August their food from the Krachtidis stadium where the first distribution for 2023 took place.
The beneficiaries received significant quantities of food in proportion to their family members (tomato paste, pasta, pasta, gruyere cheese, feta cheese, rice, lentils, beans, sugar, evaporated milk, flour, extra virgin olive oil, beef and pork), as well as cleaning and personal hygiene products (toothpaste, shampoo, washing powder, all-purpose cleaner, dishwashing liquid to meet their basic needs.
In order to avoid overcrowding and to comply with the measures to prevent the spread of viral diseases, the “Drive Through” method was applied in the distribution process, during which the beneficiaries were fully served without getting out of their vehicle only by showing their ID and Social Security Number.
The FEAD Program is implemented through Social Partnerships and beneficiaries are selected according to income etc. The Ladies Union of Drama – House of Open Hospitality is a partner of the Social Partnership Solidarity in the Regional Unit of Drama. The European Aid to the Needy Fund (FEAD) supports the distribution of food and basic material goods and is combined with accompanying measures, which contribute to the social integration of the beneficiaries and is implemented throughout the country.
