The Mother’s Day event was held with great success on the morning of Sunday, May 10, 2026.
The event began with the traditional blessing of bread at the Holy Metropolis of Drama, in an atmosphere of reverence and emotion, honoring the role and contribution of mothers to the family and society. Afterward, the attendees proceeded to the premises of the Ladies' Union of Drama - ΗΟΗ, where a reception with coffee and refreshments followed. Attendance was particularly high, as women—mothers—honored the day with their presence, as well as the activities of the city’s women’s associations. The atmosphere was warm and festive, with a strong spirit of fellowship and the exchange of well-wishes. The event was jointly organized by the women’s associations: the Ladies Union of Drama-ΗΟΗ, the Hellenic Women’s Association, the Pontian Ladies’ Welfare Association, and the Greek Girl Scouts.
On Wednesday, May 6, as part of the “ANTHIZOUME” creative workshop organized by the Ladies Union of Drama-ΗΟΗ, participants created greeting cards with a mother’s theme. Using recyclable materials such as paper, dried plants, ribbons, and other small decorative elements, and drawing on their imagination and creativity, they crafted unique greeting cards with passion and love.
