The Ladies' Union of Drama – HOH actively participated in the event organized by the Municipality of Drama as part of World Earth Day, making a tangible contribution to raising environmental awareness and enhancing the city’s aesthetic appeal.
On Friday, April 24, 2026, 60 ornamental plants were planted at a selected location on Eleftherios Venizelos Street, helping to improve the appearance of the urban space and enhance the public environment. The plants were provided by the Environment and Greenery Department of the Municipality of Drama, while the initiative was carried out with the participation of the LUD - HOH organization's creative activities group for seniors, as well as volunteers from the organization. This initiative strengthened active citizen participation and highlighted the importance of collective effort in caring for and improving public spaces, contributing to the creation of a more pleasant and sustainable city. The Ladies Union of Drama continues to support initiatives that promote volunteerism, social cohesion, and environmental awareness.
