With the aim of strengthening knowledge and awareness of human rights in remote areas, the "POWERFUL VOICE" program continues its activities in the Prefecture of Drama.
On Monday, January 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., the project team will be at Nikiforos Drama High School to hold the program's 10th workshop. The program is aimed at people aged 13 to 60 and focuses on informing and raising awareness about human rights and their protection, with an emphasis on the needs of residents of remote areas. Through interactive interventions, "POWERFUL VOICE" seeks to develop critical thinking and strengthen dialogue with students, adults, elected representatives, and social welfare professionals, promoting understanding of the relationship between rights and obligations.
The 14-month "POWERFUL VOICE" program, funded by Action Aid and the European Union, aims to inform, educate, and raise awareness among men and women (aged 13-60) living in remote areas of the municipalities of the Prefecture of Drama (Prosotsani, Paranesti, Neurkopi, Doxato) on issues related to the values of the European Union, gender equality, and the recognition of forms of gender-based violence.
The ” POWERFUL VOICE ” project is implemented within the framework of the “POWER – Promoting Organizations’ empoWErment to guarantee women’s human rights and stop gender-based violence” program, which is coordinated by WeWorld (WW), in collaboration with Action Aid 12 Hellas (AAH) and the Asociación Bienestar y Desarrollo (ABD). POWER is co-funded by the European Union through the “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values” program (CERV – 2023 – DAPHNE).
