On Friday, October 31, at 11:00 a.m., the 2nd Primary School of Drama will be the second school in our prefecture to sign the cooperation agreement for the action "THE CHILDREN - AMBASSADORS OF THE FOOD BANK OF DRAMA."

As part of this action, the FB team will present its multifaceted and essential work to the children of the 6th grade, informing them about its goals and mission to combat hunger and food waste. Pupils will take on the task of communicating and disseminating these goals to the local community in order to support the Food Bank of Drama. The initiative, entitled "CHILDREN - AMBASSADORS OF THE FOOD BANK OF DRAMA," aims to promote the message of combating hunger and food waste, which is prevalent in today's society. According to a United Nations report based on Eurostat data, over 2 million tons of foods were thrown away in Greece in one year, while Greece ranks third in Europe in terms of food waste. The initiative "CHILDREN AS AMBASSADORS OF FB OF DRAMA" aims to inform and raise awareness among tomorrow's citizens about this social phenomenon. It also aims, together with the initiatives "CHILDREN OFFER LOVE" and "STUDENTS GET TO KNOW TT DRAMA" to raise awareness and motivate children aged 5-18 about the primary objectives of FB.

The Food Bank of Drama
The Food Bank of Drama is the fourth food bank in Greece, founded by the Ladies' Union of Drama – House of Open Hospitality in October 2019. It is a member of the European Federation of Food Banks (FEBA) and its primary goal is to combat hunger and food waste by meeting the nutritional needs of hundreds of beneficiaries on a daily and monthly basis.
