The action “LADIES WALK” has achieved its goal and collected a sum of money for the support of the Food Bank of Drama of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – H.O.H.
The action took place on Sunday 9 March at 11:00 am and was attended by the group of the Food Bank of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – H.O.H. During the action, a walk of women and children was held in the grove of Korylovos, covering 5 kilometers and honoring each woman for the personal struggle she made and makes every day to claim equality in social life. At the start, there was the “”Love Piggy Bank” of the Food Bank of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – H.O.H. while the significant amount collected thanks to the contribution of our fellow citizens was allocated for the purchase of food for vulnerable people. This action was implemented by the Association of Health Runners with co-organizers the Regional Unit of Drama, the Municipality of Drama, the Europe Direct of AMTH, the Union of Ladies of Drama – H.O.H. and the Association of Students of Oenology – Forestry of the DUTH.

The Food Bank of Drama

The Food Bank of Drama is the 4th nationwide Food Bank, which was founded by the Ladies’ Union of Drama – Open House of Hospitality , in October 2019. It is a member of the European Federation of Food Banks (FEBA) and its primary purpose is to fight hunger and food waste, meeting the food needs of 2016 beneficiaries on a daily and monthly basis.
