The Children’s theatrical performance “The Magic Flute” will take place in the Amphitheatre of the 1st Technical High School of Drama

On Thursday 19 December at 19:30 at the amphitheatre of the 1st Technical School of Drama, the children’s theatrical performance “The Magic Flute” will be staged.
The performance is part of the events of this year’s Dream City 2024 and the wider effort of LUD-HOH to promote culture in the local community, offering opportunities for creative expression and entertainment to children from vulnerable families. The performance will be the result of a unique creative journey, during which the children attended intensive music and theatre courses, enhancing their artistic abilities. With an emphasis on music, imagination and children’s creativity, “The Magic Flute” promises to provide a magical theatrical experience for young and old audiences alike.
The central theme developed in The Magic Flute is the power of love for mankind, setting as models the main characters of Tamino and Pamina, who manage to overcome their trials thanks to love and with the help of music. The battle of good versus evil, truth versus lies, and the search for the great ideals of life are presented as the main moral lessons. Tamino’s initial mission gradually turns into a need for a deeper search for knowledge and enlightenment, but this is only satisfied through trials before reaching a final elevation to a higher level of happiness.
The performance is sponsored by the Ioannou F. Costopoulou Foundation, and was originally scheduled for Sunday, December 22, but due to the students’ extraordinary commitments, it will take place on December 19.
