Children will be invited to place long-life food in boxes with the Bank’s logo that they will find in a common area of their school. For this reason, on Monday 31 March 2025, the TT manager was in schools, kindergartens and primary schools in our city, distributing boxes in order to raise awareness among students. The Food Bank of Drama implements the action “CHILDREN PROVIDE LOVE” and in this context it calls on Kindergartens and Primary Schools to participate. The list of products proposed for collection includes long-life food and personal hygiene, goods which many of our fellow citizens cannot afford. This action will be completed on Friday 11 April and the team of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – H.O.H. will arrange for the collection of the products to be collected.
The Food Bank of Drama of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – H.O.H. expresses their sincere thanks to each school unit individually that actively supports its action contributing to the fight against hunger and poverty in our prefecture, a fundamental “Sustainable Development Goal” adopted by the United Nations.

The Food Bank of Drama
The Food Bank of Drama is the 4th nationwide Food Bank, which was founded by the Union of Ladies of Drama – House of Open Hospitality , in October 2019. It is a member of the European Federation of Food Banks (FEBA) and its primary purpose is to fight hunger and food waste, covering the food needs of 2016 beneficiaries on a daily and monthly basis.
