The program aims to inform, educate, and raise awareness among men and women (aged 13-60) living in remote areas of the municipalities of the Prefecture of Drama on issues relating to the values of the European Union, gender equality, and the recognition of forms of gender-based violence. The project will be implemented through educational workshops in each municipality by the Dean of the Department of Social Sciences at Democritus University, Ms. Sevasti Hatzifotiou. The program focuses on residents of remote areas with the aim of including them in discussions that directly concern them and strengthen the actions of these municipalities. The impact sought through the program is dual. On the one hand, participants become multipliers of the project in their familiar, friendly, professional, school, and wider social environment, and on the other hand, they report incidents either as victims or as witnesses.
The first intervention will take place on Monday, October 13, at 11:30 a.m. in Doxato, targeting people aged 18-60.
