On Monday, November 24, the Food Bank of Drama is launching an initiative called "My Breakfast."
Ten children from vulnerable single-parent families will receive their breakfast for school every day. This initiative is aimed at all those children who go to school without having secured their breakfast due to financial difficulties. The "My Breakfast" initiative will include food such as sandwiches, pastries, bread rolls, fresh produce, and donations from local bakeries and hotels. It is worth mentioning the dual role of this initiative, as, alongside the care provided by the Ladies' Union of Drama - Η.Ο.Η. for every child on the brink of hunger and poverty, there is also a message to combat food waste, making use of every food item for those of our fellow citizens who are truly in need.
The Food Bank of the Ladies' Union of Drama - Η.Ο.Η. provides daily care and support to 1,248 family members, including dozens of children. The Drama Food Bank will provide maximum support to every child who goes to school without breakfast, defending their right to food.
