The Ladies' Union of Drama – HOH will participate on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. in the 7th Pan-Hellenic Conference on Science Education through Modern Technologies, with the program «POWERFUL VOICE».
The online presentation will be titled “Empowerment and Awareness-Raising Practices on EU Values and Gender Equality in the Prefecture of Drama, Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace: The Example of the “POWERFUL VOICE” Program.” The presentation will focus on the qualitative outcomes of in-person interventions, highlighting the value of information and awareness-raising both in education and among the general public.
The 14-month “POWERFUL VOICE” program, funded by Action Aid and the European Union, aims to inform, educate, and raise awareness among men and women (aged 13-60) living in remote areas of the municipalities of the Prefecture of Drama (Prosotsani, Paranesti, Neurkopi, Doxato) on issues related to the values of the European Union, gender equality, and the recognition of forms of gender-based violence.
The ” POWERFUL VOICE ” project is implemented within the framework of the “POWER – Promoting Organizations’ empoWErment to guarantee women’s human rights and stop gender-based violence” program, which is coordinated by WeWorld (WW), in collaboration with Action Aid 12 Hellas (AAH) and the Asociación Bienestar y Desarrollo (ABD). POWER is co-funded by the European Union through the “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values” program (CERV – 2023 – DAPHNE).
