On Friday 18 October 2024 the Dean of the Democritus University of Thrace represented the Ladies’ Union of Drama in a speech entitled “Ladies’ Union of Drama – Η.Ο.H., 120 years of contribution and Love” in the context of the action of the Region of AMTH entitled “Awareness and Awareness Raising Activities on Social Welfare Issues”.

The speech was held in Xanthi, in the multi-purpose space of Art and Thought Manos Hadjidakis House.

The long-standing and multifaceted action of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – H.O.H. shone through the presentation of the dean and highlighted both the programs that offer information, psychological support and professional rehabilitation to women, victims of gender violence, but also the holistic support, through food, material and educational action of the organization. The Open Hostel and the President’s unceasing efforts to support these women are a worthy example of how to tackle the phenomenon of gender violence.
