The “TIME TO TALK” program at the 2nd Primary School of Drama, using the Norwegian methodology for recognition of abusive behaviour.

The second pilot educational workshop for primary school children of the “TIME TO TALK” programme was successfully held at the 2nd Primary School of Drama.
On Friday, February 21, 2025, the team of the LUD-HOH and its scientific collaborator, Dean of the University of Thessaloniki, Ms. Chatzifotiou Sevasti, visited the school unit in order to implement the educational workshop. The activity was interactive, as the Norwegian educational tool was used. Through cards and pictures, 39 children of the 5th and 6th grade were asked to express their feelings, analyse the scenes depicted and suggest ways to react and protect themselves. Their interest was undiminished throughout the meeting, as they raised important questions about forms of violence, possibilities of intervention and children’s rights. The Programme, taking its first pilot steps in the field of Primary Education, aims to raise awareness among children about domestic violence and ways of dealing with it. Its implementation started as a pilot, as it was the second time that the agency made use of the educational material received on the two trips to Oslo from the Norwegian partner “Alternative to Vilolence”.
The “TIME TO TALK” programme continues voluntarily, having reached 1,563 secondary school students and 83 primary school children since 2022, with the aim of raising awareness and preventing violence from an early age.
