With the participation of thirteen (13) students of the Summer School, the information and awareness-raising action on gender violence "TIME TO TALK II", implemented by the Ladies' Union of Drama-HOH.
The action took place on Friday 11 July 2025 at the 1st EPAL of Drama in the framework of the Summer School "Summer in Drama" with the support of AMKE Bodouroglou. The implementation of the action was undertaken by the project team of "TIME TO TALK II", consisting of sociologists, while the President Aliki Tsiamoura was also present, who, speaking to the children, stressed the importance of prevention and information to the new generation. The action had a strong experiential character and started with the presentation of the basic concepts and forms of gender violence. Then, participants interacted with the online game "Change the plot. Be a gender hero!", an educational tool developed by the ESD-SAF in the framework of an earlier project "TIME TO TALK I". Through role-play scenarios, students were asked to identify behaviours of violence, distinguish its types, reflect on how they would react if they were victims or witnesses and discuss the possible consequences of their attitudes and choices. Their participation was active, with many targeted questions, reflections and exchanges of views. The experience strengthened young people's empathy, critical thinking and social awareness, highlighting their role as active citizens who can recognise, disapprove and prevent abusive or stereotypical behaviours.
The project “DEVELOPMENT OF PREVENTION-ACTIVITY ACTIVITIES FOR PREVENTION-TO-COMBAT VIOLENCE – PREVENTION-INTERVENTION OF VIOLENCE II”, implemented by the Ladies’ Union of Drama – HOH., is carried out under the “Eastern Macedonia, Thrace 2021-2027” Programme and the priority “Social inclusion and poverty reduction (ESF+)”. The operation is co-financed by the European Social Fund. The project is part of the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy of the Municipality of Drama.
