The Ladies' Union of Drama – House of Open Hospitality, with a steadfast commitment to social service and the meaningful support of our vulnerable fellow citizens, is organizing two initiatives this year.
Specifically, on Orthodox Holy Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., an Easter Bazaar will be held in the City Square. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase candles made of pure beeswax and Easter eggs from local producers, thereby contributing through their purchases to supporting families in need.
At the same time, a new initiative titled “The Plate of Love for the Drama Food Bank” is being launched, which will run from Easter Sunday through April 12 to May 4, 2026. Eight participating restaurants and cafes in Drama are taking part in the initiative, offering selected dishes from their menus, with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Drama Food Bank.
These initiatives highlight the power of collective effort and the importance of active community participation. Through cooperation and generosity, we can create a strong network of protection and care for our fellow citizens. The Ladies Union of Drama invites all citizens to join this collective effort by actively supporting its work and reinforcing the message of giving. With faith in the power of community and solidarity, we wish everyone a Happy Easter and a Joyful Resurrection, filled with health, light, and love.
