Closing ceremony of the program Erasmus+
On Wednesday, April 3 at 11 A.M. in the yard of the House of Open Hospitality of the Ladies’ Union of Drama – H.O.H the closing ceremony of the “Prevent and Support Cyber Gender Based Violence” program will take place within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
The event will start with a short greeting from the President of LUD-HOH, Aliki Tsiamoura, while afterwards all the actions and deliverables of the project will be presented by Ms. Sevasti Chatzifotiou, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Democritus University of Thrace. At the end, there will be an open discussion with all the students and the participants, as well as a buffet.
As part of the project, the PSCGBV website “Prevent and Support Cyber Gender Based Violence” was created, which contains all the actions, information, and deliverables of the project. Subsequently, a pan-European map of good practices in dealing with gender-based online violence was created, where the user can locate victim management bodies across Europe. Afterwards, the creation of the online handbook for young people aged 18-29, which is about safe surfing on the internet and prevention of gender-based violence on it, was completed. The manual was designed to address three critical priorities: prevention, detection, and response. The fourth deliverable of the project was the online handbook for victim management agencies, which gives organizations the necessary material to properly deal with victims of gender-based online violence. Finally, a needs detection quiz for young people and organizations was designed and uploaded, while the project was concluded with the final evaluation report.
Βy typing the link https://ps-cgbv.eu/ , the visitor is directly in the environment of the page, where the manual and all its deliverables are posted. It can draw useful information about emerging forms of online violence, while it is also important to see good practices applied in all European Union states posted on the same website. At the same time, the visitor himself may realize that he may be in danger.
The “PSCGBV” project started in April 2022 and has a duration of 24 months. It aims to educate the Ladies’ Union of Drama – HOH, but also the civil society actors about gender-based violence in cyberspace.
